
The challenge: IDEATEC, a leader in advanced acoustic solutions, asked us, as experts in designing pop-up spaces, to create their stand for the Interihotel fair.
The brief was to make a huge splash using storytelling you can feel, right in the middle of a ton of sensory overload. A trade fair is, by definition, a storm of sights, sounds, and acoustic chaos.
The real melon? How do you sell silence in the loudest place possible? How do you use fresh acoustic design to make people stop, appreciate... and feel... one of the biggest luxuries today: pure silence?
You can't fight chaos with more chaos. You have to create the opposite.
Our research on noise pollution was a real eye-opener. We weren't just in a noisy fair; we were in a noisy country.Fact: Spain is the second-noisiest country on the planet (a lovely little WHO statistic).Fact: Barcelona, our stage, is Europe's third-loudest city.
Knowing this, just "showing off acoustic panels" felt totally wrong. If the real-world problem is auditory chaos, our solution needed a powerful story.
So, we didn't design a typical trade show stand; we used our skills in sensorial and experiential interior design to build an escape. We created the 'Shhhroom': a mini-sanctuary built with IDEATEC's best sound-absorbing solutions, dedicated to that one big luxury.
Instead of just telling people about acoustic comfort, our experiential design built a place for them to just... breathe. The concept was simple: Stop. Step in. Shut out the noise. And feel what real quiet is like.
The IDEATEC Shhhroom became the quietest, coolest spot at Interihotel Barcelona.
We gave visitors a quick, powerful sonic detox. It was an oasis where all the noise from the fair just melted away, leaving them feeling totally calm. You could literally watch people relax the second they stepped inside.
The juice wasn't just showing off IDEATEC's high-tech acoustic technology; it was making people feel it. We turned a high-tech solution into a real, human experience, proving that in a world of constant noise, acoustic wellness is the new rebellion.
The client was beyond happy. The Shhhroom wasn't just a cool concept; it was a total success. It pulled in high-value contacts and proved that in the middle of a loud fair, a moment of real quiet is the most powerful sales tool.
