Design an ephemeral intervention for the 5th edition of Miradors de l’Horta festival, in Bonrepós i Mirambell.
The goal: raise awareness about the crucial role of local agriculture in l’Horta Valenciana — and the power consumers hold in preserving it.
It had to be more than educational. It had to be emotional, celebratory, and deeply rooted in the land.
People don’t always realize it, but every trip to the grocery store is a political act.
Buying local is activism.
It sustains farming families, preserves landscapes and biodiversity, reduces waste, lowers carbon impact, and supports food sovereignty.
That’s a lot of power — hidden in a carrot.
We needed to create a space that made this message impossible to ignore.
And we wanted to do it with joy, warmth, and a sense of community.
A long table in the town square, transformed into a feast of proximity produce.
More than a visual metaphor, it was a place to sit, talk, reflect, and celebrate everything the huerta gives us.
A literal and symbolic mesa de salvación.
Passersby became participants.
Vegetables became conversation starters.
And the message was simple: we can still save the huerta — if we choose to.
Local. Playful. Grounded. Powerful.
L’Horta ens toca la patata turned an abstract environmental issue into a shared, human moment.
It brought together neighbors, farmers, and visitors in a space of reflection and connection — over potatoes, peppers, and a lot of love.
Because sometimes, the most radical thing you can do is sit down at a table.
And listen to what the land is telling you.
Coocked up with our former studio, WANNA.
