The Melon

Redesign the old restaurant at the Tennis Club of Dénia into a natural, simple, and warm space where players and visitors can relax, recharge, and connect after a tough match — a spot that feels like home, any time of year.

What We Cracked

How do you turn a dated sports club restaurant into a welcoming, flexible space that invites everyone to linger? How do you create a calm oasis that embraces the local landscape, supports diverse experiences, and works for casual days and private events alike? We researched the vibe, the needs, and the surroundings to build a concept rooted in authenticity and ease.

The Juice

We opened up the space to maximize light and visibility, expanded seating to serve more guests comfortably, and crafted flexible zones for both everyday dining and private gatherings. Stripping away unnecessary decor, we let lush greenery and a natural palette do the talking — inspired by the Mediterranean, the Montgó natural park, and the iconic clay courts of tennis.

Blues, camel tones, and terracotta baths create an immersive, calming atmosphere. To honor local design, we chose Spanish and regional brands like Ondarreta, Andreu World, and BPM for furniture and materials — authentic pieces that blend effortlessly into the environment.

The Flavor

The result? A serene retreat at the heart of the club where every visitor can slow down, savor fresh bites and smoothies, and soak in the rhythm of the game around them. It’s a space that feels alive and alive with calm — a perfect balance for players and spectators alike.
