Overview

The Melon

A new flagship for Spain’s largest perfume retailer, right in the heart of Barcelona. 1,250 m² across three floors, on the city’s most iconic shopping street. The challenge? Create an immersive, emotional, and unforgettable beauty experience—one that connects deeply with skin, senses, and self.

What we cracked

Retail can’t just be transactional anymore—it has to be transformational. We needed to turn a high-traffic location with a tubular, low-visibility entrance into a magnetic destination. One that invites passersby to explore and keeps them coming back. The space had to flex across categories, from luxury cosmetics to natural beauty, erotic play to children’s toys, without losing coherence.

The Juice

We designed a full-body, full-sense spatial journey. A tunnel-like entry draws you into a world of microuniverses, each telling its own story through unexpected materials—galvanized steel, lava-textured laminates, sculpted pink masses, and hand-painted ceilings.

The ground floor speaks industrial luxury. A dynamic color-blocked ceiling balances the product mix, while a multifunctional room transforms from erotic showroom to event stage with the pull of a curtain.

A monumental staircase connects the three floors—clad in soft Formica blush, framed by prism arches, and wrapped in infinite digital skin textures.

Upstairs, a handcrafted ceiling flows like epidermis across the Beautik zone, infusing affordable makeup with high-art vibes. Around it, playful environments for hair, pets, and kids unfold in bold tones and tactile contrasts.

The basement calms everything down—pharmacy, clean beauty, and organic care staged in desaturated greens and warm whites, with a ceiling installation evoking dried foliage in gradient hues. A quiet exhale to close the experience.

Primor Barcelona doesn’t just sell beauty—it becomes it. Every corner is a surprise, every texture a sensation, every floor a different beat. A flagship that reinvents what a beauty store feels like. Emotional. Playful. Bold. And deeply human.
